My latest Microchip PIC project. Driving an 2x40 LCD Display in 4bit mode. The pic used is a PIC16F628A and runs at 4mhz. The goal for this project is to write text data from an PC to the display using a RS232 port. (I already had RS232 working using a MAXIM max232)

Atmega8 connected to hp 200lx palmtop with homemade ttl-rs232 converter (max232 alternative). Atmega8 sends few lines of text and then starts to send ADC values... This is just first test to see, if my circuit works or not. Seems to work. The program that is running in 200lx is terminal program....
