16 red, 16 green and 16 blue LEDs. Microcontroller ATmega32 @ 16MHz. This first Version of the Software works without any timers or interrupts but does PWM to mix & fade the colors. Only 3 IO ports are needed: data, clock and enable(optional). The colorbar has 8 x 74LS164 to "drive" the 48 LEDs....

I hacked together this prototype for a terminal-emulator controlled stepper motor driver. It uses the toshiba TB6560 driver chip and an Atmega32 AVR. The AVR handles the terminal emulation and controls the driver chip. The circuit was co-built with a friend. I wrote the AVR firmware myself.
